Nestled deep in the mountains, surrounded by forested hills and the soothing sound of a nearby stream, KOTOTOKISS is a private rental retreat offering a single cottage for exclusive use.
The name "KOTOTOKISS" is inspired by the hototogisu, a bird that heralds the arrival of summer in Japan. Echoing its call, the name blends "koto" (experience) and "toki" (time), reflecting our wish that guests enjoy meaningful moments and experiences — a retreat where experiences matter more than things.
In the natural setting of Satoyama,
you might even catch sight of wild deer, serow, or monkeys if you're lucky.
KOTOTOKISS offers a unique stay where you can truly feel the quiet flow of time.

The cold bath at KOTOTOKISS uses natural water drawn directly from a well in the Southern Alps mountain range.
This clear, refreshing water maintains a consistent temperature of about 13–15°C year-round and is continuously replenished without heating or circulation.
